Painting for my baby

I wanted to do something special for Victoria. She loves music, and she loves to dance. She even dances to my ringtones. Whenever she sees a dress that I'm about to put on her, she says "dance". So, I came up with this painting for her. I really like how it turned out. When she saw it the next day, she said in her sweet little voice, "I like that."

She was really excited when I hung it in her room. She looks at it every time we go in there. I am so proud that I could do something for her that she likes so much. I can't wait to start my next project for her.

Beautiful Fall Baby

I took Victoria out to take some pictures in the beautiful fall leaves. She was just fascinated with the leaves. Of course, she loves anything that she can pick up and eat. It doesn't matter how big it is. If it will fit in her little hand, she thinks it will fit in her mouth for sure. Oh, and the dirtier the better. The best things to chew on are keys and shoes. I'm going to have to scrap some of these pictures, but I wanted to get them up, because they are so cute. I can't wait to get some more pictures before all the leaves are gone. The bad part is, I have to always take them on the weekend, because it's dark by the time we get home now. It's crazy how early it gets dark these days. It seems like year after year I never remember that it gets dark quite so early.

Sketch Entry

I sent off this entry to Scrapbook and Cards "Based on a Sketch" contest. I like the way it turned out. It's a bit simple, but sometimes that's the best. Some pages take hours to do, and if I stick with that, then I will never even complete an album. Sketches are great, because you don't have to put as much thought into it. You take a look at the sketch and create something around that. Sometimes, if I have to come up with the layout myself, I will just sit and stare for who knows how long. Sketches get the juices flowing. I love making pages of my baby girl. The sketches make it so easy to produce lots of pictures. You know I have a ton. It's hard not to take pictures of her. She is so adorable. Here is the entry I submitted.

School Days

My baby bird started a new class this week at school. She is now in the Infant II class. This is for crawlers. She made it there before everyone else in her class that is younger than her. She is also already trying to walk at only 8 months. She was moving her way down the couch at seven months. I bought her one of those walkers that you push behind a few weeks ago. She has gotten really good and it, and she is very fast. They started her on regular food in this new class. She has eaten sausage biscuits, a cheeseburger, pizza, chicken, and no telling what else already this week. She has only taken one nap each day too, so she is usually exhausted by the time she gets home. There is a lot more activity in this class for her. I'm sure she loves that since she is already so active. There are kids in there who can walk too. That will help motivate her to do it as well. I can't wait to see what she does next.

6x6 Layout

I love this layout. I made a book for my mother and this was one of the layouts I put in it. I thought it turned out great. The embroidery was very easy. I saw this technique in a magazine, and just had to try it. I punched the holes first which makes it so much easier to embroider. Without the pre-punched holes, the paper gets bent. I'm going to try to do a few more of these. I can't wait.

Cool Website

I just found this cool website on another blog. It's http://www.wordle.net/. I just created this on it. I'll call it a word jumble for lack of knowing what it's really called. I can't wait to use it in my scrapbooking. It will also be great with cards.
